Eyeleds recommends cleaning the fixtures with a common broom for outside. Although the stainless steel or brass encapsulations are resistant to streaks, excessive pressure (e.g. a sanding machine) can damage the fixture.

Excess cleaning materials and corrosive build up need to be removed with water. The use of aggressive detergents is strongly discouraged since these might harm the construction in the short or long term (depends on the used quantity). The application of a high pressure cleaning system is also discouraged. Besides, regular cleaning of the fixtures prevents corrosion and the development of corrosive build up.

Due to its minimal build-in depth of just 6,5mm and a relatively low heat development (<55°C), applications for PowerEYE are virtually unlimited! However flooring installation is less obvious – due to the extremely high lumen output, the lights can possibly create a blinding effect. PowerEYE® is perfectly suitable to apply lighting in for example tiles, stairs, walls, skirting boards and ceilings.

By using special lens technology in front of the LED light source, a perfect beam of light is created. PowerEYE® 360 (open version) is provided with a 60° beam angle and PowerEYE® 180 (shaded version) is provided with a 45° beam angle.

For the present, the PowerEYE® series is designed for indoor application only. However, of course it is possible to install the lights in a greenhouse, closed verandah or summer-house.

The relative light performance (Lumen per Watt) of LED lighting is extremely high in comparison with conventional light sources. The Power LED technology used in PowerEYE® has a light output of 40 Lumens/Watt – with its capacity of 1,5W this results in a total output of 60 Lumens. The efficiency and performance of the Lumileds/Luxeon K2 is considered as revolutionary in the market.

Yes, PowerEYE® is very similar to the conventional Eyeleds® construction and is able to withstand high mechanical loads. However, PowerEYE® is not primary developed as floor lighting.
