Eyeleds recommends cleaning the fixtures with a common broom for outside. Although the stainless steel or brass encapsulations are resistant to streaks, excessive pressure (e.g. a sanding machine) can damage the fixture.

Excess cleaning materials and corrosive build up need to be removed with water. The use of aggressive detergents is strongly discouraged since these might harm the construction in the short or long term (depends on the used quantity). The application of a high pressure cleaning system is also discouraged. Besides, regular cleaning of the fixtures prevents corrosion and the development of corrosive build up.

ColorEYE® Pro offers the possibility to set any color you like, to adjust the light intensity (dimming) and to change the speed of the color changing mode by means of a control unit (sequencer). ColorEYE Pro is a user friendly system: all control options are clearly indicated on the front side of the sequencer. The sequencer can be installed in a standard electrical wall box.

The sequencer (control unit) is the heart of the ColorEYE Pro system and provides the lights with the desired color (combination), brightness and color changing speed. The sequencer can be set manually or automatically.

The standard sequencer uses 72 channels which determines the max. quantity of lights that can be connected. One ColorEYE® Pro light unit contains 3 channels (a red, a green and a blue channel) which results in a max. quantity of 24 light units on a sequencer. When using a repeater, the max. capacity of a sequencer can be increased up to 2 x 72 channels (2-way repeater) or 5 x 72 channels (5-way repeater). Next to this a repeater can be used to avoid voltage drop when longer cable distances are necessary.

RGB stands for Red, Green and Blue – the 3 basic or primary colors. By mixing these colors, virtually any other color can be created.

By means of mixing the primary colors red, green and blue virtually any other color can be created. An Eyeleds® ColorEYE® light unit contains an RGB diode with three different “color-chambers”. By means of simultaneously dimming one color and raising the intensity of another color, the individual light unit shows a new color.

The Eyeleds® ColorEYE® systems can be applied in many different surfaces such as tiles, natural stone, laminate, hardwood flooring, carpets and decorative gravel. Generally speaking, Eyeleds® can be installed in materials with a thickness of >7mm. Due to a minimum heat development (<=35°C) Eyeleds® is safe, irrespective of the application type.

For the present, the ColorEYE® series is designed for indoor application only. However, of course it is possible to install the lights in a greenhouse, closed verandah or summer-house.
